    KV6 Freelander warm starting problems

However Nodg68e, the camsensor with a Freelander part failed within a week, yet the BMW did not. I am wondering if it is due to the replacement Freelander part having a small hole in it, and oil getting in there. I am trying to get a refund so we will never know..

    V6 Freelander Overheating

This is why I say to test the caps. I look forward to your replies.

    V6 Freelander Overheating

Pressure test the whole cooling system. Also pressure test the new cap. I kid you not tons of new caps are faulty from factory and the freelander v6 need a cooling system with no pressure leaks. I look forward to your replies.

V6 Overheating, please look at video

It would also help to look at the temperature with an ODB2 code reader. I would bring the cap to a place that can pressure test them. Lookup Ford 150 pressure cap failure in youtube (same cap). It's un believable. I would also pressure test the entire cooling system to make sure.

V6 Overheating, please look at video

Did you pressure test the overflow bottle cap? Did you test the thernostat in hot water before installing ? Both have been know to be faulty from factory, especially the reservoir cap

    Found a freelander for parts

Hi Rubi. Fellow Canadian here. I would grab the rear diff and IRD. But only for no more then $50 for both. There is no demand for freelander parts on this side of the pond. I see some for sale regularly for around $1000 $1500. What year is it ? If it is post 2004 I would grab the transmission...

    Hippo is overheating......AGAIN!

I have seen two Freelander expension tank go bad. And talk to someone who had a bad cap new. I would test the cap to make sure it is keeping pressure and also releasing pressure at 16psi. I would also test the cooling system to make sure there is no leaks.

KV6 bleeding the coolant - what is the best method?

Did you pressure test the cooling system as well as the expansion tank cap separately? I have read many reports of the caps failing and not retaining any pressure what so ever.
