How do you manual trigger it? Would that be causing the battery not to charge?

Forgot to add that my indicators have stopped working as well, fuses fine but they all don't work. Related or coincidence?

As the title says, I'm getting ****ed off with my alternator/battery/what ever is in between. It's a 200tdi The battery kept dying so I changed it for a new one, this battery had died a few weeks ago due to leaving the lights on, so I thought that the cold was affecting it in its fragile...

Talking of a waste of tax payers money, the new kit is a load of crap and falls apart, I've had 2 new sets in the past year. My old dpm lasted me for years, the only time it had to be exchanged was when it had a argument with some razor wire. New stuff is made in china too, nice one government...

When you strip it down, be careful not to knock the little caps that sit under the rockers- they can fall down in to the engine. Hmm yes, I have quiet a few of these floating around in the engine lol

Yeh done weatham hill before. That lane will never get closed just like water lane won't because the only way they can be repaired is with bulldozers
