    Think that mine has had a replacement engine at some stage, has BMW on rocker covers? (A mate said normally has Land Rover on!) Gave them engine No. - They said should be ok even down to electrics,as I had read somewhere that designations A,B,and C were used for settings?

    Hi Alan........ Think I may need to change whole pump, (easier) Just been and looked, and also leaking from Hi pressure, (Delivery/Distributor) unit also, so looks like most seals have failed at once! 165,000 miles, have another unit from a 40,000 525 diesel Beemer! Thanks for help Troy

    Hi, Just enquiring if it is possible to change the top O,ring type seals at the top of the FIP easily? mine is pouring as much diesel out through seals as into engine, though still running!

    Thanks for that idea Nodge..... Can I do any more damage if it has pushed through pressure plate? I can move carrier arm and rod, (that goes into casing) back towards slave cylinder about 1 inch There is no resistance or 'catching' during this. Regards TROY

    HI Everyone, thanks for all help so far, though I think some of you have misread...... When unit exploded, having read the historic posts, I chsnged the master/slave sealed unit and the bracket all new as mine were clearly damaged... The arm moves about an inch before you can hear it engage...

    Many thanks, arm moves smoothly... Over an inch, which was as making me think... as car was driving perfectly, No slip, No grinding then just bang and foot to floor! Saw threads about cylinders...one item plug and play and bracket problems. .. Mine was bent, sheared from metal fatigue and slave...
