Hehe , a full engine rebuild. I just forgot to check valve clearances

    Starting after rebuild

I just done the valve clearances and each one was completely shut, no clearance at all , I've adjusted then all to 0.010mm. Eating some chicken wings then I'm going to reattach the wires then try to restart. I did change all the push rods as a bunch were bent so I suspect that's what's stopping it

    Starting after rebuild

It cranks freely, fan turns, I looked under oil filler cap and the bits and bods are moving up and down, I forgot what there called lol. I'll have a google and see how to check those things

    Starting after rebuild

Ok after more reading I found the oil pressure switch near the filter, I will need to get that connected, would that stop the engine from starting?

    Starting after rebuild

Heya guys. I'm having a little trouble getting my Beast started after a full rebuild, it's a 2.5na. I've bled the system fully to the bleed nipple on the fuel filter, I've bled it to the top of the spill lines on the injector and I've also bled it fully to the bleed nipple on the pump, I've...

My Adrian Flux/ULR insurance claim woes!

My truck is my pride and joy and they don't seen to realise that. I won't trust to it an insurance company that treats their customers like this. Id happily pay a little more to another company, one who will treat their customers with dignity and respect. I hope they realise that without us...

    Check your Crossmember boys

Surprisingly enough my chassis is in good nick, got lot's of surface rust on it tho but no holes as of yet. It's one thing I intend to do in the next few years is to replace the chassis :)

    Alternator earth

I got a clamp on the end of it and attached it to the chassis, does it look ok?
  18. RodneyA

    Alternator earth

Hmm, I don't remember seeing one lol, I'll need to check, I just fitted the engine but can't recall attaching one
  19. RodneyA

    Alternator earth

It's defo the alternator earth, I presume I can attach it to any bolt on the block then?

    Alternator earth

Where exactly does the alternator earth cable attach to, I've had a google and found out that it attaches to the block but where about's, I can't really see anywhere for it to go. Is there a special attachment I need for it. The pic below shows the rough end of it, it's about a foot long.
