I'm having a little trouble finding the correct length of bolt to remove my crankshaft sprocket, I've got the puller but the M5 bolts that come with the kit are only 60mm long but I need ones that are 80-100mm but just can't find any. Where did you guys get yours?

With a cold chisel would I just hit it on the side of the nut or is there a special way to use it.

I'm having to strip off the aluminium half of my turbo so I can get to the bolt under it holding it onto the exhaust manifold but I'm a little stuck. I've removed the small 8mm nut at this end I was expecting to be able to pull the wheel out but nothing is moving at all Just to confirm...

The internals are for somebody else to work on. I'm too scared to touch them :D Tho from what I can see they seem in good nick.

Does the bits seem ok? the bores seem good. Maybe a teeney wee bit rough right at the top but no lip as such. Will pop some pictures of the head on soon.

Ah. I meant to say it seems like 2 gaskets when I took it off.

I've taken my head off and was wondering if you can have a peek at the gasket and see if it looks ok First 4 pictures are the gasket and last 4 are the gasket off. I also can't seem to see these holes that tell me what thickness of gasket I need.

I'm in the process of fulling rebuilding my 200tdi, I will be sending the block and large bits to my mechanic who has a large cleaner. I'm wondering what's the best way to clean the auxiliaries, for example my injector pump is caked with mud and I'm a little nervous about cleaning it...

Well I bought it without seeing it, The vehicle it came off had only done 97k miles and the engine looks in great condition, I was more or less wanting to strip it, check the components and and replace what's needed. If any :p

I've now taken delivery of my 200tdi and I'm looking to give it a full rebuild, I've got the 200tdi engine manual and a Basic Understanding, Do you think I should rebuild it myself or should I get somebody else to do the core components? I'm in 2 minds about it and I do feel a little Anxious :)

He's gotten the rest of the panel beating and sanding done and has now got the final layer of primer on. Wings also look nice :D
