    TD4 towing

Took my boat a 200 mile round trip at the weekend, my TD4 pulled it ok but there were a few moments on the twisty bits where the steering felt a bit light! Was a bit nausea inducing, but the boat doesn't weigh that much (around 650kg all in) and I've towed it with a passat and a golf in the...

    Tay trip

Was very impressed with my Freelander after that weekend, it went back up the boulder strewn river and muddy rut hill for half a mile easier than it went down, whilst fully loaded with all our camping gear, my mate, and my dog! It then sailed down the motorway in total comfort, and after a...

This was Mikey coming down the "hill" using his hill descent control, maybe just a wee bit fast to dodge all the boulders! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyrM9Satg7g&feature=youtube_gdata_player

    LED bulbs

I want to replace the front side lights and the rear registration plate lights on my 2003 GS TD4 with white LED's I think the front ones are push fit W5W, but will I need the Canbus type? Or is that only a worry on higher spec models with a trip computer? My main question though is, what type...

Welcome! Some agricultural types will be along shortly to ridicule your choice of fine looking vehicle, how they find the time between welding and coats of waxoyl is beyond me!

    Hello From Forum Newby

Don't listen to these farmers! You'll never have to replace half the chassis on a freelander!

    just saying hi

Hail Ming! That's a shame, must be money to be made stripping it for spares though, or is it not worth the hassle of getting a gearbox from a scrappy to give it a few more years? If not, get another one, I've only had mine 6 weeks but I'm already emotionally attached!

    TD4 Exhaust

Thanks! I'm sure when I was searching the Internet looking for this, one of the suppliers had the clamp advertised along with the exhaust, and it was only £4 or £5, but I can't seem to find who it was now! If I can't track it down on the net tomorrow I'll pick one up over the weekend.

    TD4 Exhaust

Got a new rear silencer delivered from Paddock Spares yesterday, only £60 including VAT and delivery to Scotland! Fitted it last night, after taking the grinder to the rusticle that was the old exhaust clamp! Now nice and shiny! I've temporarily used a jubilee clip where it joins the centre...
