Hello Hobnob, Id be intersted how you get on mate ive got the same problem with my 96. but it happens around 1500/1700 rpm. cant hold 29/30mph in top or 4th,,, fine either side of that ,,, i think its just scared of speed cameras

the tailgate can be done with the hot glue method ( google it ) the rear quarter will need pry bars dollies planishing spoon and about 20 years practice,,, but both are repairable,,,,, tailgate shouldnt need to be painted 1/4 will
