HI, I have noticed that the fuel filter on my td5 does not have the connector attached to the filter nor is there a socket for it though the cable and connector are tucked away on the chassis. Its a mann filter not LR maybe thats the reason, does this matter and what is it for anyway.

hi all my td5 on cold start does not fire on all cylinders, a tap on the throttle and it clears, and then she starts fine until the next day. Thought it might be a sticking valve or some kind of injector problem. Are there any magic potions i can buy to try and clear this.

will get mine from rimmer bros then before they see the ebay price. A scaned template would be good though.

Thanks for that the plug seems clean, another thought is i have blanked off the egr valve at the exhaust but have not removed the valve itself. If this was not working properly would it cause a problem with the engine.

Hi when i am traveling at motorway speed my td5 seems to have a slight misfire, this only happens at 70 - 80 mph, my first thought are towards the injector loom which i have read about giving problems. How big a job is it to remove this loom to inspect it, any special tools required ?. Grateful...

They often come up on ebay, if you are prepared to collect they go cheap compared to LR prices. Just bought a rear bumper with both lights £50.

If coming from rear it could be the A frame ball joint, though this makes a clunck noise in all conditions. You say it is noisy when you are in full lock, that would point to the CV joint at the front hub.

Hi folks, I need a new bumper for a 04 td5, had a disagreement with a wall :mad:, there are one or two for sale on ebay they are off year 2000 td5, they look the same any one know for sure or was there some suttle change in the facelift models.

The master cylinder could be past its best, this also gives a spongy feel to the pedal. You can by a repair kit, but i would go for a new one if needed.

had exact problem with mine, i have no sunroofs on my td5, leaking from alpine window, apparently theres a piece of folded metal under the roof lining under the alpine window that runs to the front piller and thats were the water appears.Give the alpine window a water test with a hosepipe.
