Hi, I have just got into my 2001 TD5 ES and have noticed water dripping. It appears to be coming from the general area of the sunvisor on drivers side. I know it'll run to the lowest point and is probably just collecting there but it seems like the headlining has an area of about 3" thats wet where it meets the screen, then also near the pillar.
I have had a feel about and it doesnt appear to be wet around the sunroof, has any of you guys had leaks in this area before. Bit worried now, water leaks...damp stained headlining/carpets, smelly and finally...rust.
Any advise would be appreciated.
Thanks Paul

had exact problem with mine, i have no sunroofs on my td5, leaking from alpine window, apparently theres a piece of folded metal under the roof lining under the alpine window that runs to the front piller and thats were the water appears.Give the alpine window a water test with a hosepipe.

happens to mine, have two sunroofs. not sure how to cure could be sunroof drain gulley pipes blocked seen it on here somewhere.may do something about it if it gets worse.only happens in big rain fall and if car left half on and half off curb, as you say falling to lowest point.

Thanks guys will check out both of these, the only thing is, where are the drain holes located, I've tried to stick my head out of the sunroof, but there not an awfull lot of room.
If the alpines are leaking, is it just a matter of buying new seals?

Had same problem that resulted in cieling seperating infront of driver seat above the windscreen.
Turned out to be failed windscreen trim
as Hughie said - give it the hosepipe and check for leaks - do different areas on different days, to ensure you diagnose the correct failing point
