anyone know if a zf auto box off a v8 will fit a 200tdi engine?

be better just to keep it, as its clean as out for a 200tdi and its kitted out for off road, got some expensive bits on it

ok thanks, is it a big job, im not a fan of thses auto boxes nothing but trouble, think I will just convert it to manuel

was offroading the other day (was giving it the beans abit) and my auto box decents to play up, goes in reverse and park fine but select drive and you get a slight crunch but no drive! but put it in first and it drives dine amd as u pick up speed select up to 2 thrn 3 then drive, and its changes...

as title really, which is best.to go on the front of my discovery? and whats the main difference other thsn the volts?

ive had my disco off the road for a few months, and just got it back and it seems the tranfer box is not working as it should, before hand it was always quite hard to get in low box but now it seems like it doesnt want to much at all, sprayed loads of grease on linkage thinking it could be that...

anyone still going?

just changed mine the other day, theres about 8-10 t27 torx bits on the valve block to remove, only remove the bigger ones tho (m6) size i think, and ensure you align the linkage up with the selector when refiting

ok I will have a look tommorow when I take it off again, there is a rod that comes out of the valve body that goes to the kick down cable, I guess its next to this?

I seen that valve mext to the k/d lever type thing, its not very obvious of how it goes, you wouldent happen to have a pic by any chance, long shot I know lol

cable is the same, and i may look into the position of the linkage but i am learning that the valve body if not alligned exactly where it was the gearbox will not work
