they did do a zf auto to fit 200 ,engine needs rear plate ,crank boss and drive plate assembly ,and gear box differed to v8 ,in that valve block is different as gear changes have to be different and bell housing ,
you can fit a v8 zf on a 200 but its very poor to drive

Torque converter is different to, and yes they are poor until warm, on a frosty morning they won't drive up a kerb
 
proper 200 box is one thing, v8 box on 200 is certainly a special **** beast,gear change is controlled by valve block even though basically the same box ,diesel needs its own
