ive had my disco off the road for a few months, and just got it back and it seems the tranfer box is not working as it should, before hand it was always quite hard to get in low box but now it seems like it doesnt want to much at all, sprayed loads of grease on linkage thinking it could be that but lever feels free enough, is the transfer box nakard?

you have to check to see if lever assembly is free ,if linkage is set right ,if lever on transfer box is working correctly or is stiff or loose if grub screw has come undone

yes you will need to remove consol
