P38a 1997 left blend motor not working

The left blend motor isn't working. Diagnostic showing as 'open circuit ' What's the best remedy short of taking most of the dash out? Splice into it from the right motor? If so what's the best method ?

    Bubbling exterior door tops again

Hi, I know this is a common problem for P38's and have searched the forums without much success Apart from new replacements, has anyone had any luck repairing the bubbling with satisfactory results? If you do have to replace the rubber, does anyone know where you can get it from? Many thanks

    Water temperature sensor adaptor

Many thanks, one last question, someone has inserted the water temp sensor into the Otter Switch. If I remove the sensor and put it in it's correct place, can I just blank off the Otter Switch (the cold start light doesn't work) or do I need the Otter Switch wired up for the other sensor to work?

    Water temperature sensor adaptor

Just been browsing another forum and I may have misidentified what I thought was the sensor, the thing I'm looking at may be an 'Otter Switch', in which case does anyone know where I can get a replacement?

    Water temperature sensor adaptor

Hi, I'm gradually making progress on my S3 project, but today found another query; The water temp sensor seems to be screwed into a Bakelite or plastic housing which just seems to be push-fitted into the head This Bakelite housing is cracked and has split into two halves, the lower half is...

Why do I have Freewheeling Hubs

Sorry if this if a dumb question, but am restoring my s3, and wondered why I have FWH fitted, when it runs in 2wd in high normally, unless I depress the yellow lever to engage 4wd:confused:

    Dashboard/console ideas

Newbie again, just found out my tray which runs across the dashboard (under the windscreen) is totally rotten and beyond repair. I've looked at the Raptor consoles, which are a possibility, but has anyone else got any suggestions or ideas? I envisage having to chop out the tray the full width:eek:

    Series 3 Speedo speeds

Hi, I have just bought my first Series 3 landy, a 1982 petrol 88" It's a bit of a project, having been sat for at least 6 months in a Norfolk field, but it's fun doing bits to get it something like So far I've put a new petrol tank and sender unit, but I'm not sure about the speedo I know...

    Disable water in fuel sensor

Hi, I've got a warning light on the dash telling me I've got water in my fuel. I've changed the filter and sensor, but the light stays on. I gather this is a common issue with D2's. On other forums the suggestion is to unclip/unscrew the sensor which will then extinguish the warning light, but...

    Hello from North Yorkshire

Hi, just joined, current Landy is a D2 TD5 automatic, which I really like. Previous one was a Freelander 1, but with having three biggish dogs and middle age spread I fancied something with more space! Took a little while to get used to the Disco, more of a work-horse than the Freelander, but I...
