Get your ECU Re-Mapped, Improved fuel economy and much more responsive when the foot goes down !!! worked for me..

I was driving my TD5 from London back up to Scotland when I saw a large amount of smoke pouring out from behind me, I managed to pull in to a lay bye almost immediately and came to a stop..just.. I got out to find a **** load of oil dripping from pretty much the entire underside of the vehicle...

I have the same issue on my 99 TD5, bit of a shudder going on from around 70/75, will have to check out some of the suggestions above..

Wasn't particularly cheap, £1200 with tints.. doing me a good deal on the logo's though.. Was a sahara sand colour before, kinda silver, wanted it black as using as company vehicle to tow mobile climbing wall and am getting it logo'd up with neon green decals..

I have the same problem on my TD5, they lock fine but dont seem to unlock on remote, have to lean over and open from inside.. real pain in the arse... will have to try the WD40 trick first and see if that makes any difference..

Have been quoted almost double that and more from several garages to fit Dasteck/BSI chips and from some accounts not a hell of a lot of difference noticed after doing so.. As I mentioned a huge improvement in performance from before so I am happy... Tend to agree with 'teddykiller' RE...

Had my '99 TD5 remapped by Mike @ dynachip yesterday, cost me £250 and came away with a completely different beast, huge difference in performance, no more sluggish disco, so much more responsive ! Even had the back end stepping out on her pulling off in the wet, havn't had a chance to check...

Getting my '99 TD5 auto remapped by Mike at dynachip next thursday, have heard good things all round, on several other forums too, google him and have a read.. will let you know once I've had mine done.. Kev

Nice one will have a look at those sites,, got Mike from dynachip doing a remap in a week when I get back from states, will see what effect that has on mpg... by all accounts will do wonders for performance and improve fuel econ.. here's hoping..:D:D
