Hi all, fitted the tu3 tuning module with mafam a couple of days ago,with great results except for the black smoke and what seems like turbo lag.Have tried settings 3,6 and 9 all with the same result, loads of power but alot of smoke.Has anyone got any thoughts on where to go from here.

Set it on 6 first but have now put it on 3 as there was quite a bit of black smoke on the higher setting,(over fuilling i think).

Hi all, well have fitted the roverron gismo,what a differance (every hippo should have one).The only trouble is that now i am getting alot of touk steer on heavy excel.Would putting it back to 4 wheel drive help as i am in monde mode or is it a case of needing a lighter right foot.

Hi all, i could do with 2 of them for my td4,as mine have gone really scabby(almost like the coating has come off)They are like two big ears catching everything in the narrow lanes of Devon. Does any one know of a cheap fix.New back covers do seem the best answer.

Hi m8 check condition of brake shoes and make sure that they are releasing properly (use copper grease if they are sticking) but dont get it on the friction material or the inside of the drum.

Hi m8, yes get it all done at the same time as the labour cost are not going to be alot more as the slave cylinder is right next to the clutch.Engine has to be dropped to do the cylinder as it does for the clutch, and you really dont want to be going there again in 6 months time.Try not to...

Had my TD4 for 18 months, not a great deal gone wrong with her and shes coverd 150000 miles now.Loads of room in the back with the seats folded down if you get the 5 door version and a very nice drive. BUY BRITISH AND BE PROUD;)

Hi all, took my egr valve off today and cleaned it (what a mess).I noticed that there was a lot of sludg inside the manifold that the egr bolts to.Is it a big job to take it off and clean it all out and will i need any gaskets ect,and is there any benefits from doing this.Oh its a 2001 TD4...
