aye, but i mean does that mean it's accepting my key turns/attempt at entering the eka? it's now flashing the side lamps once for every key turn, but the eka given to me by the landrover garage is not working or something else is wrong, ie door lock / becm?? i'm lost now :(

Also, just got key code lockout, does that mean it is receiving the attempt at entering the eka code?

cheers guys. tried the turn to lock 4 times and turn to lock and hold for 5 sec before inputting code unlock>lock>unlock>lock > unlock once but doesn't work. Battery is pretty low, might need a full charge first? Anyone know of any other methods of inputting eka? thanks

Tried that with no luck either :( Would a duff drivers door lock mechanism interfere with the code entry? Another weird one is I cannot manually open the rear doors from the inside anymore. Used to be able to..they are locked completely now.

Tried: 4 turns to lock to activate EKA input. Then first digit, turns to unlock, 2nd digit turns to lock, 3rd digit turns to unlock, 4th digit turns to lock, then 1 turn to unlock it and try start car but same engine disabled press fob or enter code... I don't seem to get any confirmation...

Okay, so got the EKA code, what's the correct procedure for entering it on a 96 2.5TD? Will it even work if the drivers door lock never worked off the fob? The back doors work but the 2 front only ever open/closed manually. Thanks

Managed to shear off one of the water pump bolts, it's stuck in the engine block with only a tiny bit sticking out. How the heck do I get it out? :( Thanks

No that's not what I'm saying. I know that :) What I'm saying is there is NO SIGN of this radiator ever having a baffle in the first place (was reading a thread about some rads supplied without) so why wouldn't it have always overheated rather than just start doing so lately?

Yes I know that, but see the post above. I didn't explain fully before why I was asking if it could be the SOLE reason.

Also, the reason I asked can it be the SOLE reason for overheating is I was driving the car for 2 weeks with no overheating, including a 160mile drive with no stops and no overheating at all then suddenly it just started to. By the looks of things the rad in this car has never had a center...
