I've got an LT77, LT77s and a Lt85 all in good nick and was wonderin which one to use, providing i can make it fit a 200 which was gonna be my next question :) I'm goin to sell one of them and keep the other for a spare

How much do these gear box's fetch these days?

A guy i know told me this... he had the same thing on both his disco's and i had it on mine. Replace the damper, panhard rod bushes and radius arm bushes and every time it's cured it. Mine did it at 50mph+ just had to go over a bump or shake the steering to set it off.

Sounds like a plan to me, what you all driving? Just done all the wheel bearings on the defender, needs a good route to test them. ;)

Although i went up there i was just following and didn't have a map present but i think it's not far from lady bower resiv, i'm sure someone else could explain it better than that ;) I don't know if you'd have the ground clearance or the grip but that just makes it more of a challenge :)...

Another cheap way to get solid discs better cooling properties is to drill a few holes on the face of the disc making sure that the diameter of the holes you're drilling is not greater than the thickness of the actual disc. TBH i've never had my brakes overheat nor have i herd of it happening, as mentioned previously in this topic, to get a nice feel on the brake pedal just re-bleed the whole brake system. I've had the back of the 110 filled with engine's, wheels etc and towed a trailer weighing just over 2tonne...

My mate was saying something about a "santana" gear box, if it is one what markings am i looking for? not sure if he said it was the one he's sold me with the v8 or the one he's got for his 300tdi.

Unless you're constantly overheating the brakes then solids are fine, best and cheapest way to improve brake power is to machine 5/10mm off the bottom of the pad surface on all the pads, don't take it off the top as it has the reverse effect! ;)

Got a defender v8 complete with 5 speed manual box, it was running absolutely fine when taken form a 110 csw 3 weeks ago. it comes with the coil pack, manifolds, carbs etc I bought it 2 weeks ago to use for a 90 new build but have changed my mind and decided to keep my 110 tdi as i'm going to...

Was it the first drainage pipe that caused the problem? we had to go on the upper track then drop into the lower one just after the uncovered drainage pipe.
