Worth checking core plug in the back of the head as its head off or engine out job to fix if it should spring a leak. For the sake of a few pence its worth replacing now.

open the jubilee clip on the block, pull off the pipe and let flavour flood out p.s. also check core plug on back of head before changing pipe, just in case

Sounds like the main shaft or lay shaft is stuck, but brookwells or james tennants will put you right

thanks I had the right part part in place and its still running ok ish even after 2 days running it to work and back so it must just be the tappets rattling.

Ok so for the oil supply pipe does the banjo connection have to point against the tread any particular way or do you just screw this back in, They are both connected up anyway but something is definately rattly and there also seems to be a lack of power on the ills. TA
