well yes, i guess so! but i've got to drive to czech in march, and thats 1000 miles each way, and that would cost me about £600 in petrol, but i get diesel free from work! i was thinking of buying an old volvo estate and taking that instead! but would rather just get a diesel rangie..

open the bonnet and as you look at the engine bay on the very top right there is a diaphram thing with a throttle cable going to one side, and an air pipe on the other side. the air pipe will probably be perished like mine was! just get a bit from halfords and change it.. bobs your uncle...

I'd think that air suspension and chassis rot would be my main concern, and electrics. good luck, hope its all fine for ya! CURLY

Hi there, this sounds like a fun project! it says that you want an R380. what is that? i know its a gearbox, but dont know which one! i have a 3 spd auto from a classic with all the bits and bobs in my garage, dont suppose thats an R380 is it? CURLY

i just read your first post again properly and it sounds like you have an air lock. i was told that if the air bubble is by the sensor, it wont show up the temperature, even if it is steam. but then as soon as the water comes back, it will boil as it hits the air bubble. make sure you dont...

do you have leaky heater matrix o-rings, or rusted metal pipes because i had that the other day, and it nearly overheated! my heater had a book on it until i changed these pipes, now its fine again, so might be connected somehow.. dont know if your 300tdi will have the same pipes, but its gotta...

hello again! sometimes when i open the drivers door, the interior light doesn't come on, and i just found out that i can make the air suspension go up and down with the drivers door open so i reckon that the door switch has got stuck in, or is a bit dodgy. where is it!? i have looked in the...

i wouldn't bother.. i'd just get a heated standard one for both.. the dipping one is like those reaction sunglasses that get darker with light, so you dont have to replace with the same! CURLY

they 'burn' out because on the back of the mirror glass there's a kind of mesh of flat wire a bit like thr rear screen de'mister but its on constantly. they wont look any different, not like they go all burnt as such! just jam a screw driver behind it and prise it off! i pulled it out far...
