Bah my rave CDs all 3 of them dont cover Discos before 1995! I have no idea if the wiring stayed the same, i assume it didnt as it looks very different to the description in rave! Anyway if anyone has any tech info on a 1992 disco id be very grateful, i can do copies of the rave CDs if anyone...

lol @ me for bein a numpty! an orange and brown wire in the rave manual is designated ON not OB as i was searchin fer. Only wires i can find now relate to Air Con circuit so not too worried ;)

First thing id check would be the thermostat. If its stuck closed, when the engine coolant gets hot, it wont allow coolant to circulate via the radiator, thus causing the overheating! Easy way to check is to get engine up to operating temperature and check the hoses going to the radiator, if...

a distributor for a 92 V8 EFi disco? Will pay fer it of course! prefebly wiv the amp module (3pin) still stuck on tha side!

found the leak! Was the o-ring on the distributor shaft, had gone all weak and was seeping oil out when engine running! Discovered new probem, inlet manifold seems to have a air leak on the left bank, so thats me next job new gasket required and a refurb of the distributor while im at it :D

Hi guys, just wondered if theres any common places for oil to leak on my j reg v8 disco? Reason being, ive noticed a few drips and was hoping i can look at well known areas for leaks before i start a more thorough search :D

hehe im from derby grunt! nice to meet ya :D As for mpg well having owned a daihatsu fourtrack that did 20 to the gallon (yes it was poorly) im fairly used to having cars etc that return crap MPG so unless its REALLY bad i hopefully wont notice to much :D
