What did you do just empty it out and refill it with diesel ??

Hi my intercooler is in the sink at the moment, but around the bottom on the fins is a lot of crud. Anyone know the best thing to get this off with without damaging the face of the intercooler ??

I dont know why that ended up on this thread! Yeah it is expensive but cheaper than the chemicals to clean your drive!

£20 for the plug and another £20 for the hose! They'll be selling fresh air next!

I've had it about 18 months. I was going to warm it up a little bit to thin the oil a bit. Although I warmed it up too much once and burnt my hand !!

Hi can anyone tell me how to clean my sedimeter on a 300tdi. I'm not sure how to shut the fuel off. I doubt this has ever been done on my car so will probably be a b*****d to get it off ! Cheers, Tom.

I am going to change the oil in my 300tdi tomorrow and was going to treat it to some fully synthetic and a flush. Does semi-synth last longer or it it better to change cheap oil more often??

Well I looked through from under the drivers side of the dash and could see it was quite damp in there so as a temp fix I have disconnected the hoses and used a bit of copper pipe recirculate the coolant through the engine. Not ideal but i can drive it without plumes of steam coming out! If...

I have steam through the dash all the time hot or cold! I am going to try and have a look now. The breather hose seems likely as I can see some steam coming from the back of the engine in the engine bay...

I did once and should have kept it! I just can't see why a comfortable discovery is half the value of a Defender of the same year! I have really abused my discovery and everyone says why don't you get a defender they were built to be abused!

Definately, as there is sometimes (quite often) steam coming out from behind the dash. It stops if I put the heater on recirculate though. If it is leaking it must only be leaking a tiny bit as there is not water in the footwells or anywhere else
