single periodical noise coming from engine bay

Spot on guys. Thank you. It is the air con compressor clutch. Now the question is: is this noise normal? According to RAVE the remedy for a noisy compressor clutch is replace the compressor. As my air con still works I'm wondering if I could only fix the clutch instead.

single periodical noise coming from engine bay

Hi guys, While searching for leaks in my EAS today with open bonnet and engine running I noticed a single tac/clunk noise (not related to EAS) coming up periodically let say every 20-30 seconds. I couldn’t locate it but I would say it comes from the middle of the engine bay, on the front...

    Stuck in high ratio

As Wammers said you can turn the hi/lo range shaft in transfer box manually if hi/lo motor is out. If you can select lo manually the mechanism in transfer box is OK but it doesn't necessary means that the transfer box is in good conditions (chain, bearings, output shaft etc.). If you can't...

Thank you Saint. You scared me enough. I wont crawl under the car. The car doesn't drop during the night but when driving the compressor is always running. So I'm looking for leaks. The pipe going to the reservoir doesn't leak at the valve block. I want to check if it's leaking where it goes in...

Silly question but I prefer to ask before doing something stupid and get crushed under the car. I would like to check for leaks the eas pipes going to the reservoir and the reservoir itself. Now if I depressurize the whole system I would not be able to crawl under the Rangie anymore. In the...

    Door cable

Do you mean door latch cable? How can you tell it's the cable and not the door latch? Have you taken the door card apart? Can the door still be opened? What are the symptoms? Much easier to do if door can still be opened than if the door is blocked. Cables are not so expensive. Island 4x4 lists...

Compressor always running…. And me running out of ideas

Thanks Saint. I renewed the valve block few months ago. This doesn't mean all o-rings and diaphragm have been perfectly replaced. Could be worth stripping it down once again and check. especially if you guys don't think the problem could be something else as a leak.
