I've just done my engine breather and was greatly relieved when Those 'T' pieces came out OK. I used the long-nosed plier method mentioned on here and it worked a treat. Use the same pliers to remove the spring clips and you don't lose them. As an aside, what is the correct tool to remove the...

You would be far better off getting a cheap set of steel 15" rims and stick a set of AT tyres on. IMO, anyway.

First check is the two drain holes in the sunroof channel. Push a length of 'bowden' cable through it (don't lose it) or blow them out with an airline.

On the top of our Freelanders gearbox (auto) there is a vent-pipe. Should this be connected to something or just left open ? Behind the engine on the drivers side I found a black steel pipe or rod that comes up vertical and ends in a 'U' bend just behind the oil-filler cap. What is it ? Also...
