    Defender headlight levelling motor adjustment

Is it possible to set to 0, then adjust the headlamps so they are straight (using the lamp adjustment screws in the front)?

    what is this

    If it's part etc8494g.. that's a fuel regulator for an efi system, not a Td5. http://www.lrdirect.com/Parts-by-Model/Discovery-2-Parts/Fuel-System/Fuel-Pressure-Regulator/ETC8494/

What is this wire? 110pu TD5

That is why I said my pressure switch is in a different location I had to move mine, as I have a MadMan gauge. The switch/sensor, is the conical looking dark brownish thing. I wonder if the plug is still attached to your switch. Now go back and read my post about the nearside, to find your...

What is this wire? 110pu TD5

Here's a photo of mine. I have a madman, so it's in a different location. The stock location is just under the coolant hose on the nearside of the engine. Should be a conical shaped brass thing, with the plug attached to it. That's the only single wire with a covering 'T'd off a larger...

What is this wire? 110pu TD5

i'll bet it's white/brown. Should go to your oil pressure switch. I just opened the hood and looked. I have the same wire splitting off, going to the plug of the pressure switch. There is only one wire going to it.

    Moving Stereo to Cubby box

Paul's advice on wiring it, is sound. And it's going to be the easiest for you. The radio in the cubby was standard for NAS spec D90s. They poke through the seat box plate, grommet and follow the harness up to the bulkhead. Over the tunnel is by far the easiest. I'm getting ready to...

    Bull Bars - MoD Surplus?

I believe that is the bullbar from the "snatch" land rovers.

    TD5 struggles to start

Can you try another ecu, with a stock map? Or reflash yours? Start from square one. Is it throwing any codes/errors?

    Defender Help! Won't start

The red plug on the ecu. It should be in the seat box under the right hand side seat.

    Defender Help! Won't start

Check all the earth/ground points. The header next to the coolant overflow tank, the battery to frame, the bulkhead to frame, the frame to xfer case, as well as the two that attach to the rear of the frame (come from the rear lights/harness inside). Make sure all those are cleaned (wire brush...

    Replacing The Doors..!

LAND ROVER DEFENDER 90 110 130 FRONT DOOR FRAME REPAIR SECTION - DA4086 | eBay multiple vendors carry them. Fantastic work on the replacement!!! I think I'm going that route myself.

    Noisey

Mine seems to sound similar... but there aren't many td5s around for me to really judge. Possible dmf? Mine's getting to be a box-o-marbles.

    Replacing TD5 Cylinder Head

I'd say throw a new injector harness on there too.

    cheap early td5's! Reason?

Find out if service has been carried out on it; to fix the plastic head location dowels and the oil pump bolt replacement (notice from LR about bolts loosening). The early TD5s are fine. Just like any other land rover; make sure regular maintenance has been done. If it's been maintained, and...

    Compression test on Td5

How did you check all five? Did you do it via a pulled injector? Can you post a picture of the tester? Particularly the adapter!

Loss of power after injector seal servicing...

Do you have access to a nanocom? You can "see how the injectors are doing", while in instrument mode. Might help to identify if one is bad. If you don't have one, I'd highly recommend it. It's saved me a lot of money and made troubleshooting easier. I'm in the US and it's pretty hard to...
