    Mondo mode and mot

In NI it will fail the MOT in 2wd, as the vehicle is not presented as it was designed. Test centres are heavily regulated by DVTA Roller brake test uses counter rotating drums to get round the 4x4 transmission, state of the art facilities!

    Road tax up !

Its a joke, its not about the environment, its purely TAX. If its based on emissions, how come commercial freelanders are paying less under light goods rate as opposed to private light goods freelanders Years back my research was in carbon neutral projects, now I say.......... pump as...

    Tailgate locked shut

In your other post, you said you hear a click? There is a 440 millisecond delay before the door solenoid is actuated, this time delay is controlled by the CCU. You can do a self diagnostic thanks to our Hippo...

    Tailgate locked shut

Sounds like the solenoid is not releasing, go with NeilC option above, or empty a can of proper penetrating fluid around the solenoid, assuming you still have the rear handle off

    dying carpet

Alrite Gaz! FL1 carpets are pretty tough and fully synthetic, not sure if the dye will bond chemically? Your carpets will take a good power hosing, strong water tight backing, very durable woven, worth a try, best removed first before a power hose! ;)

    DIY VCU service

Useful tips, have you tried vacuum pumps? I was even thinking of drilling holes in the outermost edges, then add a suitable solvent and centrifuge the remaining fluid/diluent out the holes! VCU could even be left in situ, take it for a test drive (or place on stands) and let the...
