As long as they are the same year it will be okay they changed around 05/06 before this its the black wheel nuts after this its the ones with a silver cap, there is a way to check on the wheels as to what year they are believe if the wheel has small holes spaced between the bolt holes its pre 06...
" Use separator as a aid and not as a it will come out or else wrench it up type tool" couldn't agree more, Used heat and hit it with hammers from various angles and even tried 2 hammers from both sides before I got the separator out and the tre just laughed at me , I'll have another go in a...
Did the passenger side today, was going to do drivers side aswell but trackrod end was seized solid and shattered my joint separator so had to leave it for another day, took the hub carrier off the passenger side and split it the removed the bearing racefrom the drive hub with a grinder and...
Getting ready to change both front wheel bearings on the td6 , if any one has done this as a diy job any warnings or advice would be much appreciated . Thanks
Won't be the bulb it's either igniter , ecu or earth fault I've spent years trying to sort this same problem out changed all parts in the headlight swapped bits between headlights , checked everything voltage at lights and earth continuity and it still does it whenever it feels like it ,so I...
Whooshing sound means you May have a leaking air spring as these can seal themselves in certain positions it might stop at a certain height ,but articulation often points to a faulty sensor
I'm as sceptical as anyone about a bit of diagnostic kit for £109 but it's description says read and clear codes and look at live data , I won't be getting one either , I was just pointing it out and wondered if anyone had tried it ?
I have an all comms myself but noticed earlier theres a new diagnostic thingy on E bay for £109
Range Rover L322 (02-06) Diagnostic Scan Tool Fault Code Reader - iCarsoft i930
don't know if its any good but seems very cheap for a diagnostic compared to all the others on the market .
You could try a battery disconnect /reconnect then carry out the lock to lock procedure again it's worth a try before shelling out on some diagnostics .
After battery disconnection when powered back up turn the steering wheel lock to lock with a slight pause at the full lock point and the air susp should reset , the lock to lock resets the steering angle sensor which has an input to the air suspension .
Even though you've changed the compressor piston ring the bore of the cylinder may be worn and the desiccant in the drier will need changing , a new or recon compressor is probably what's needed , but check for leaks first , there's also an old thread on here somewhere about the valves in the...
Just a point about these wipers , the power for the headlight wash pump comes via the supply to the passenger side wiper motor , if the pump is goosed and shorted inside it stops the passenger side headlight wiper working , I found this out after I replaced my passenger side wiper (e bay £20)...
On my 2nd set of nexens first set did about 30k and were still about 4 mm but changed all 4 as don't like running down to the limit , never had any problems , also the LR dealer near me had them on an offer as a budget tyre
Prime candidate is either front or rear anti roll bar drop links after that the rear wish bone inner bushes or front suspension arms , but I would start with the drop links first
Would still also consider the battery ,is the new one big enough amp hours and cold cranking , aswell as flattening it may have done something , as above water in rear quarter is a real possibility.
