Hi All

Back again

Got a articulation validity fault NSF suspension inactive.

Yesterday I reset all and did the lefty righty righty lefty lock to clear Inactive message. Didn't seem to do the job. So whacked up the RSW ALLCOMS on and reset all and the Inactive message, though the articulation validity fault would not clear. After upping and downing etc all seemed to look ok on the outside and the Air Susp seemed to working as normal. On a the very odd occasion I heard te pump come on to adjust very quickly on the journey. I had the boot shelf and floor up so I could assess it. ANY HOOO!

Now after a 3 mile journey and on way back I got suspension inactive and the car sorta lowered but more so on the NSF. I lost the light on the dash when this happened that indicates off road position mid drive and lower ride. I did the lock to lock and it it came back and suspension inactive went. Its came back. NSFL down crwalled home and then as above did all the reset things all other wheels seem to be drive height, but out of kink in height probably compensating for the NSFL. I hear a shooshing noise as I try to switch to drive height . doesn't want to seem to go in high off road height or low ride its on mid drive height on switch even though the NSFL is down like I can only just get hand in between wheel and arch.

Any ideas help advice. Not like yes sell it lol

Cheers ALL

Ok read the other threads saw some possilbles from Saint DataTek etc

Cross link valve
Sensors

Have heard some shooshing on air while trying to raise .

Anyways to check or test.

I did read on the thread not to calibrate if ECU it not 100% , of which im not sure

not sure how its done on my allcoms RSW but hey saw the defaults button to click.

For now I will wait for any heads up

Whooshing sound means you May have a leaking air spring as these can seal themselves in certain positions it might stop at a certain height ,but articulation often points to a faulty sensor

The system only reports an articulation error cos it is trying to raise a corner and according the ECU it isn't responding....this could be because the sensor isn't working so the ECU isn't getting feedback on the fact the corner is moving...or the corner isn't physically moving due to a bust air bladder....so could be one or the other...or even both!

That's what I meant in a round about way but your explanation is a bit better than mine.

So from that

It could be an air bag or it could be a sensor

How can I test Sensors

There are a couple of types of valves too one was cross link valve

What if the ECU has its knickers in a twist can I reset it all by ALLCOMS AirSusp Diag options.

Would disconnecting the battery Untwist its knickers

Oh ta for the info peeps much appreciated

Airbag gone IMO.

Physically check the sensors are moving freely

Like i said earlier, when they get old they rust up, stop moving freely or the rubber mounting perishes thus disconnecting the sensor arm from the suspension arm

How old is your L322 ?

Air bags might need doing anyhow

You are more than likely correct.
Don't laugh . re-connected battery "idea from someone".

Done the Allcoms reset things again with windows open. Right side front went shoooosh and left did a ****sssssssssss. Tyres are about 5 mm clear if the wheel arches at front back looks fine a little high. Just confused me as it was left front side with prob now both....Scratch my head how the right side front decided to follow. Possible but unlikely do you think. Does seem to look like the bags. not that I know much...

The Articulation Validity Fault has gone after resets above, I have a ???? CAN Bus Fault on the Air suspension option. wont clear..... Bet you say yep bags .... If that's the deal I have been searching for the bags only. so far only can find bag and strut as one unit. so any golden nuggets of best place to purchase would be appreciated.

If the bags are making whooshing noises then they are most likely blown

You can only buy them as a compete strut and bag assembly

Around £250 for a Dunlop one

Better than the £700 original ones

okeydokey I will check tomozzzz cheers

and thanks for the heads up on the Dunlop I will check it out.

I will post back on findings and fix if all's well

I'm sure someone posted a while back that they had found the bags as a seperate item? Might be worth trying the Arnott site.

well just saving the money really but if you think then ...
not sure how to check the sensors I will have youtube it to see

and need to check out the CAN bus fault
