Wanted Defender drivers side seat runner

I bought these last week and have installed the driver's side so far. Haven't gotten around to the passenger side yet. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331542881890?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT Contrary to the picture, both of mine came as complete seat frames with the...

To fit an electronic dizzy or not...

Got all the parts today and commenced the conversion to Pertronix Electronic Ignition but ran into a snag that I need some help with. With the Flame Thrower coil that I got to accompany my electronic ignition, I no longer need the ballast resistor so I disconnected it and now that I am...

    Hi

Can I ask where the closest place to us is to get the Landy dirty and have a good go of it? Where are some places you've been?

To fit an electronic dizzy or not...

I'm currently running a Mallory Dual Points dizzy in my 3.5 with a power amplifier. Until the vacuum advance went out, all seemed to be performing just fine. A new vacuum advance will set me back £60-65. I can pick up an electronic dizzy for not much more. The question I am pondering is whether...

It was meant to only be a water pump change...

On our drive down to Dorset this past week to do a little camping, the water pump bearing started to go (water coming from pulley and screeching noise from water pump, as well as the pulley being a bit wobbly). Luckily, the water pump lasted the rest of the drive down to Dorset and then back...

    Front Door Refurb Ideas Please

I bought window channel from these guys when I did my door refurb: http://www.sp-4x4.com/product_p/door-chan.htm Just cut it to size and notch it where it needs to bend to conform to the door. Use some self drilling screws to install it.

    Replacing Bushings

Cheers, Brown. I wouldn't touch the Britpart ones, to be honest. Heard too many bad things about them. Was mainly trying to decide between Superpro and Floflex, with Superpro being a bit more expensive. Then I saw the OE rubber ones on Paddock's website and wasn't sure if that was the way to go...

    Replacing Bushings

Thanks. I think it probably best to replace them now. Next question, though. I see I can get either OE rubber bushes or poly bushes. I think this largely comes down to personal preference but what are your thoughts? Interested to hear what anyone has to say before I purchase a set.

    Replacing Bushings

When should suspension bushings be replaced? I don't know that they've ever been changed on my 1985 110. I can see that one of the bushings on the radius arm is cracked but the rest seem fine. Truck drives fine. I'm just wondering if I should proceed anyway with replacing them.

    Engine number - MOT

While you are at the garage tomorrow getting your MOT, have them verify the engine number and put it on headed paper. I just had to do this for mine. Guy I bought it from had the engine swapped in 2009 and never bothered to update the V5C. It's passed every MOT since 2009 without issue, but I...

    Door bottom repair costs??

Not sure how much a garage would charge, but I suspect it would be quite a bit. Are you any good with a welder? I did my rear door this past weekend. Took about a day. Bought the repair pieces from SP 4x4 (SP landrovers LTD - Body panel Specialists). I researched the procedure on this forum...

    Part Number Support....Again

Good Evening everyone. I finally got around to repairing my rear safari door after finally building up the courage to tackle it. Turns out, it wasn't too bad. The door started out with a fair bit of rust on the bottom and the door frame was cracked in several places. I managed to remove the...

    Paint Suggestions

Now that I have my 1985 110 V8 running well, I'm starting to turn my attention to the body work. The plan is to remove the chequer plate (might repaint black and then reinstall or might leave well enough alone), repair the door bottoms (severe rust), treat the various areas of rust (bulkhead...

    LT95 Part Numbers Needed

Thank you for those part numbers. Not sure why I couldn't find them. I agree that normally you can reuse the lock nuts. In this case though, I replaced both output seals over the weekend and the rear started leaking last night. When I took it apart, the lock nut was spinning freely. It was...

    LT95 Part Numbers Needed

I am trying to research part numbers for the forward and rear output shaft seal felt washers and lock nuts for my LT95 gearbox. I've not had any luck and was hoping that someone on here could provide me with the part numbers I am looking for: Forward Output Seal Felt Washer Forward Output...
