    Bearing failures after wading?

Hopefully mine is OK, there are no nasty/dry noises coming from my timing cover area. I'm going to change my cambelt next month anyway.

    Bearing failures after wading?

You've made me paranoid about my cambelt now WLM :(

    Bearing failures after wading?

Makes sense, I'll give it a go :)

    Bearing failures after wading?

No (I know, I know), but I don't wade that often so haven't bothered before now, I will be getting some though. They aren't relevant to this specific problem anyway. No need for the sarcasm ;) Being sealed bearings it never occurred to me to grease them, but I'll make sure they are well...

    Bearing failures after wading?

Yeah I did check all the wheel bearings etc, even changed transmission, transfer box and diff oils (were due anyway), but how can I protect all the engine ancillary bearings? I appreciate continued wading isn't good for it but surely there is something I can do to stop them all failing within...

    Bearing failures after wading?

About a month or so back I took my 300tdi powered 110 wading through some pretty deep 'water' on Salisbury plain. Great fun, but my engine developed several nasty sounding noises slowly over last few weeks. Turns out the bearings were shot in the tensioner, water pump and fan pulley, and the...

    pics from today

I've got to get out to the plains again soon, still suffering from last time though, need new aux belt tensioner bearing, and water pump due to bearing failure. Oh, and the starter of course. All came about after wading through **** at Salisbury Plain ;) Parts are due next week, so should be...

    Snow-pocalyps

It's a time-lapse of last nights snow fall in the USA, and it makes what we had look like a mere dusting

Ford Zetec powered 2wd Disco pickup

Can't see your logic there, just because people have used Series bodies for drag racing before (seen them myself) doesn't rule out this being for drag racing, it's not like it's a rule or anything  They probably just had an old disco lying around collecting dust/rotting away. I still...

Ford Zetec powered 2wd Disco pickup

Something 'different' I suppose, I've seen some mad things hurling themselves down drag strips....

Ford Zetec powered 2wd Disco pickup

Looks RWD, the engine is mounted longitudinally not transverse.

Ford Zetec powered 2wd Disco pickup

With the front end 'tucked' like that, and the arse up in the air, maybe they are creating something for the drag strip? Would explain why they are chirping on about weight too, and the Zetec is a very tunable engine, especially with a blower attached. No good in a Disco for 'normal' duties, but...

How does your Landrover drive ?

My wife's Ka feels like a Rolls Royce after driving my 110. Wouldn't have it any other way

    Propshafts

When I ordered a 'no name' prop shaft from Paddocks I was expecting it to be ****part as it was much cheaper than a GKN, when it turned up it was a Bailey-Morris. Quality seems excellent.

Off set rims, wondering about something...

Here's my 110 on 33x12.5x15 tyres, 15x10 wheels with a -32 offset. No lift, just HD springs on the front to make up for the weight of the bumper/winch:
