I have a choice of bailey morris or GKN.

Which should i choose and why? There aint no difference in price so thought id put it to the majority.

When I ordered a 'no name' prop shaft from Paddocks I was expecting it to be ****part as it was much cheaper than a GKN, when it turned up it was a Bailey-Morris. Quality seems excellent.

how much u forking out?

for me as I had them on me rr I would go for gwyn lewis props

paddocks do a front HD wide dangle prop for £155 +vat

Gwyn lewis ones are £215 +vat. The only major difference i can see is that there blue.

they all come with greasable uj's which is what i want. apart from that i cant tell.

Oh and the paddocks are bailey and morris or GKN(spicers) and the Gwyn lewis ones are also GKN.

the gwyn lewis ones have a longer sliding section to them which is good if you have a big lift or long travel suspension

wot about this one its the same part num as the others but over £50 notes cheaper, they don't do the rear as yet

LAND ROVER DISCOVERY 200 & 300TDI FRONT PROPSHAFT "HEAVY DUTY" NEW - FRC8386 HD | eBay

The link you posted WLM, im not sure that is a HD wide angle. i googled frc8386 HD and thats a standard prop for a def/disco and rrc.

I only have a 2" lift john, i dont think i need anything longer than normal.

i ve got 2 inch lift on the old 90 with standard props, i replaced them both as the splines had worn and where quite lose with standard props from paddocks, no problem for 18 months other than a uj.
ive bought hd wide angle props for the new 90 ive bought and found the front one ive taken off is a wide angle, one of the ujs has gone whats it worth to you? its the same as the paddock ones

Whats the condition like? other than the one UJ?

£60??? :whoosh:

Early RRC has Wide angle joints compared to the puny ones you get on later motors, Plus any Original propshaft has more that the crap £30 cheap propshafts you get from paddocks/craddocks or any suppier. Better to replace a uj on an original prop than replace propshaft as the new replacement is likley to be just good enough for std motor whereas original and indeed old RRC ones were more than up to the job

Cheers Jai, Think ill treat my old prop to some new greasable UJ's and then if TC's wide angle dosent help or isn't up to it ill swap them over or a have a re-think.

Looks good would only need a uj £60 sounds fair

Its off the 300tdi John dont know if they are the same??

If a td5 is the same as a 300 itll fit but i aint sure

Could you see about postage TC? ive found a new wide angle one for £99 so if its alot for postage then i might go with the new one.

Cheers
