Can i use normal 12 V heater plugs if my car is ex military 24V? I was thinking of making a new circuit off of one battery, with just a basic push switch to turn on hearers manually. Will this be ok or do i need the circuit to go through some sort of resister thingy or serniod thingy? Thanks

Thanks for you advice guys, it seems to be working now!! with out any changes, i think it might be the heater plugs that are finished and was draining the battery not the starter motor at fault. But really i dont know only that its working now. Poddy i love your car!! it like mine but older

Its not clicking... and its a diesel 2.25 series 3 So i can remove the starter and look through to hole. But what will i see? Worn out teeth on a cog? Batteries are new and should be charged well, however electrics are a bit of a mess (24v system)

just to update you guys, i do have separately operated fuel tanks, and one is returning the fuel and the other is drawing it but not returning it. Its leaking out on the return to the left tank. Still not sure why the other was filling up but i think the lever was not quite fully in position...

i dont think i have a choice of fuel tanks?? they go down together. The fuel is not coming from a split pipe its coming from the hole you put the fuel in..... just flowing out the top where it went in??
