    Alloys stuck!

I usually use copperslip but had the tyres changed a while ago and never got round to putting some on this time. Dohhh! I've considered the comedy help in desperation!

    Alloys stuck!

Cheers Nick, been trying that for about an hour but no sign of any movement. I wondered if there was anything strong enough inboard of the wheel to use my bottle jack to push against to try to push it off?

    Alloys stuck!

Just set out all full of beans for the first job of the New Year, changing the front lower shock bushes. Got all wraped up against the cold, all the tackle laid out and ready. Got the Disco up in the air, removed the front wheel nuts, pulled the wheel and........pulled some more.........hit it...

    Zavoli LPG Mod

Yes thanks. I took it to a local LPGA installer just after I bought it to have the gas system checked. He hooked it up to a laptop and went into the settings. Apparently the amount of settings available to change are limited as laptops do not have an old fashioned printer port. After reading...

    D2 Front Shock Lower Bush

Yeh considered that but after a good look decided the damper was fine, it is just the bush on the drivers side that is shot. Nevertheless I will replace both of them.

    Zavoli LPG Mod

I have a Zavoli LPG system on my Disco 2 and it takes an age to switch over from petrol. Does any guru know if it is possible to bypass the thermal/time switch so I can switch it over manually once it has started. I also fancy trying to start it on gas and save even more petrol. Cheers

Just had a quick look round and the only one I can find that might be able to help are MG Specialists - MG Rover Parts and Repair - MG breakers - UK. On Google they say they can supply paint for any car. # Good luck - sorry I cant help more.

were do i get paint ?

What's your location and how much do you need? Near me there is a paint shop where you can take your car and they will match the paint to the colour on the vehicle not the paint number. They can supply this in an aerosol for touch ups or tins for a full respray. Its a bit more expensive than...

    D2 Front Shock Lower Bush

Hope you all had a good Christmas and a drunken New Year! Has anyone replaced the lower bush on the front shocks? Is it possible with the shock in place or is it easier to remove the turret and shock, fit the bush and then replace the whole unit? Any advice/tips greatfully accepted ta.

    Discovery 2 TD5 questions

Sorry to hear about your loss. The instrument lights are easy to repace. Just undo the two posi screws at the base of the binnacle (near the steering column) then remove the trim. Look down both sides of the binnacle and you will see one screw on each side, near the top. Remove these and the...

    Look Before You Spend

A few weeks ago I started to get intermittent visits from the Three Amigo's so I did my homework, read through all the available forums, trawled through hours of video footage and decided to change the shuttle valve all to no avail. Took it for its MOT yesterday and it passed with an advisory on...

Towing will be ok if BOTH boxes are in neutral but as has been said, steering and brake function will be seriously reduced.

    Insurance Rwnewal

Has anybody renewed their insurance recently? Ours is up for renewal early January. We paid a shade over £300 last year but they are quoting £600+ and we haven't had any claims! We are a married couple, mid 40's, rural area with a Disco 2 V8 auto 2001 plate and good driving record. Web...
