Lubricating my waste gate arm was absolutely essential to getting my td5 running right. But not wd40! I used a ptfe based lubricant called Amberglide. No problems since!!! I also done the injector harness although I had no issues with this I did have oil at the ecu plug!

I also had the remains of something there last year. Replaced with the winch bracket for a tenner off ebay, job done!!!

I have got a harness waiting in the garage. I will get a cam cover gasket soon rather than put the old on. I don't have any problems yet, but there is oil on my ecu plug!!

Not sure about your starting issues, but the lads have mentioned the obvious oil running down the injector harness down to the ecu plug. You could always try some electrical contact cleaner on these connections to see if it makes a difference! Also as for not going over 2800rpm, check out the...

New fan and aux belt fitted today. Would have done the tensioner but I have a torx bolt in there and I havent got the correct size!! I held the hub still by putting a 10mm combi spanner on the hub nut and resting it on another pulley, jobs a goodun!!

Been confirmed by Rockingham landrover as the Watts linkage!

Oh, and do I need a 32mm or 36mm spanner??? Not measured it yet!!
