Thats what i used for mine, and used it to clean up the metal before welding the footwells. It took the old bitch off the legs and the paint off the door posts. But how much :eek: dont use B&Q. I went to Toolstation which has free delivery (useually next day) if you spend over £10.

Cheers, will look in to it. When i first had her, me and my dad kept getting pulled because she was crabbing. Im guessing that this is how she was fixed (if you call it that). Looks like they cut the mount off and moved it a few inchs. Although at the time of the fix, it may not have been bad.

Cheers mate, my first time welding. Was not great but its solid. I have discovered some really bad spots that need welding on the chassis (pics to follow). I am thinking of removeing the body to get to the chassis. Is this going to be a easy job? and what type of problems am i going to...

Footwells all done, now the wait for cash flow to pick back up. Then i can buy nuts and bolts to replace the pick a mix, the last person used.

Cheers guys, Been and bought a shuntz gun today and underbody. I'm a proper yorkshire man with deep pockets and short arms, I have bought a tin of underbody (that screws to the gun) and 5ltr of bitch. Can anyone see a problem with thinning down the bitch and spraying that on after the red ?

Got quite alot done today, Footwells cut and ready for welding on Thurday. I am still in the process of cleaning up the legs. Is it a good idea to red oxcide primer, then shutz over the top ? Photos in no specific order (could not be arsed to order them)

Yup beat the crap out if it a few times and then looked at the bolt hole :eek: The bracket is free from the chassie and the footwell, i just do not have a spanner/socket big enought to losen the nut on the right hand side.

Got some more done today, Drivers wing is off :) Just having problems getting the steering box off, to give us clear access to the whole footwell. With the trouble i have had with the bolts, that hold on the wing. I ended up buying a whole new set. OOPPPS, going to need a new one of these...

Ok, so i got out of my cot and picked up my toys :D and though. I'm putting in new footwells right, so proceded to cut out the old footwell to gain access :o Anyway then the alarm sounded, time to collect daughter from school. I quickly grabbed a few shots and off i went.

Top is out and second one down is rounding off, No socket fits. Bottom 2 are flat screw heads :eek:

Having trouble with the old ones, so was going to buy new. :mad: Right i'm ready for selling or weighing it in. Still stuck with 3 bolts on the wing going in to the bulk head. any ideas getting them out without taking a grinder to the wing then grinder to the bolts. :(
