    Axle identification help !

Ok got my parts list slowly coming together but could do with a recommendation for shocks. I drive this vehicle on a dirt track with lots of pit holes and loose gravel on the hills, i mostly use it for towing a twin axle Ivor Williams trailer often with 2 to 2.5 tons in it. At present I think...

Ok I ordered the stuff yesterday. Next. 1. Wait for the Haynes manual and cam locking tool. 2. Wait for the parts to arrive. 3. Research changing the camshaft seals. 4. Review various threads on the water pump and tensioner replacement and print of an a-z process 5. Replace camshaft seals...

[11QUOTE="Colthebrummie, post: 4314007, member: 135159"]While you're ordering bits, you need to replace those ancillary belts. Ok so I now have a growing list of parts, carriage is £19 so I will need to make sure I get all I need in this order. Would anyone like to comment on the camshaft oil...

Still waiting on the locking device so am on “hold” until it arrives, however I would like to get the parts ordered and with the information you have all provided I have been able to ascertain that its a 26mm belt and probably an auto tensioner. I have included a photo of the tensioner for...

I will wait for the cam locking device and then take the pump and tensioner off and have a good look. I am in a situation where if I don’t fix this car then it’s at the end of its days, I have made the decision to get on with it, tentative steps, research each move and try and not get it wrong...

Ok so the history. I noticed that the back window was down and not wanting it to get wet I hopped in the car and wound it up, but when I switched off the ignition the window went down....... I messed around for a bit and eventually I got it to go up and pulled the keys out of the ignition before...

Ok so if that’s the pump (thanks). Then that does not look good as the water is not leaking from there....... but from the behind the big double belt wheel. I suppose I will need to take off the belts, that big wheel and have a look behind the lower timing belt cover....

Ok thanks, an oil seal I can deal with ! Managed to find an old lock nut socket and got the wheel of. Managed to get a photo from below now I can see a bit better. The water is coming from behind and slightly higher than the big double belt wheel, hidden by the said wheel and the lower case of...
