What have you done to your Landie today.

Found that all rear hinges are knackered, lucky I got spare pins in Peterborough, also topped up engine oil and washer fluid

    Greenhouse heater in Land Rover

If you were going to go for those tube heaters I would strongly reccomend a second battery to power them :p

What have you done to your Landie today.

Just remembered that I have to change the ****e LED bulbs that I put behind the speedo and temp gauge because they broke within 2 months  my fault for buying crap off eBay :D

    new car

Very true, I do like the TD5 engine, but when they give you trouble, my old leccy-free 200tdi gets the vote :D

What have you done to your Landie today.

Gave it a good cleaning inside, changed the fuel gauge backlight bulb and checked all levels under the bonnet

    220bhp 300Tdi?

Very possibly, even if it is (not possible IMO) then why have a 4 inch lift and mud terrain tyres? :D
  9. Dave90

    220bhp 300Tdi?

    1. That is first class bollocks 2. Why would you want 220bhp?

    In Car Entertainment

It's all personal, I've got a subwoofer which is quite loud. I find it hard to concentrate when very loud music is playing, but I like having a bit of AC/DC while I drive :)

    Headlights

There is an almost unlimited amount of things that people do on the road that are illegal, but in my opinion fitting Xenon or HID lights just gives the cops a reason to stop you, they'd rather be petty about headlights and other ****e than stopping the real criminals who go around speeding and...

    Headlights

HID's are for chavs and gays, Osram Nightbreakers are the way to go

What have you done to your Landie today.

Adjusted the new (stretched) handbrake cable. Found out that the bottom coolant hose was loose and the sodding thing ****ed out half of the coolant in the header tank in 80miles, lucky I check it frequently, also tightened the power steering/water pump belt and topped up engine oil :D It also...

    Tyre size/width/profile calculations, spacers

Most tyre companies don't recommend putting 285's on 7" wide rims As far as the extended arches go, I would have thought you would have massive arches and tiny wheels that won't sit 'flush' with the arch, if it's what you want to do then go for it though I think that 16x8 modulars with a -32mm...

Thought about adjusting handrake... thought against it

    What fans?

I took my viscous fan off, fitted a leccy fan that we got for free and I rarely use it, only on hot days when I'm in traffic, like I said, rarely. Even with a winch, close fitting bumper and two big hella driving lights :p
  17. Dave90

    Main beam or switch ????

I've got my Driving lights wired with the main beam but with a switch to turn them off. My roof lights are on a seperate switch

What have you done to your Landie today.

With the new handbrake overhaul kit in the post (hopefully here this week) I've removed the gearbox output flange, handbrake surround to allow for new expander and clips to be fitted, also disconnected the handbrake cable from the linkages and removed the linkages. Also got transmission oil in...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Yeah the rod in the expander was loose and flopping about, adjusting it would have eliminated the rattle but it would need to be adjusted to the max, so I thought it better to replace the whole lot

    A very noisy turbo??????

One of the funniest people in the world for sure :D Also was going to suggest a split vacuum pipe, if it's a Tdi
