anyone got stuck in there landy??

Outside a cabin I lived in for a few months in Vermont (up a mountain in the woods, no running water or utilities). Not stuck in this photo, but did get stuck once driving up to it. Had to chain up all 4 wheels and winch the arse end sideways when I slid on to a small tree. This is before the...

series 2s 4 wheel drive problems

If they aren't spring loaded hub like Selectro, Fairey, etc, but are Warn or Dualamtic, sometimes you have to turn the propshaft by hand a bit to get them to fully engage.

    Anyone ran wheel spacers?

I've been running 55mm aluminum spacers on my 95 Discovery for close to 10 years without any issues. Both on road and off-road. My feeling it that the hub bearings are plenty large enough to handle any extra strain. I installed all new brakes a year or so ago and replaced all the hub bearings...

    Series Winch Bumpers

What kind of winch? A Warn 8274 fits perfect behind the stock bumper. Or are you looking for a heavier duty bumper?

    K&N air filter

I should think you can pick up an oil bath cleaner pretty cheap. K&N's let more dirt in to your engine.

    Battery Cable???

Ideally the batteries should be the same, and same age. If one is nearing end of life it can take the new one with it. Cable size really depends on how close the batteries are together and what the max draw by the starter is. For sizing, particularly for an electric motor, you want your...

    Greasy Nipples!

U-joints with zerk fittings should be lubed about every 8000 kilometers (I lube them every oil change). If not lubed when they should be the grease in them will eventually dry and harden and it will be hard to get them lubed anymore. So every oil change lube them until you see new grease coming...

    Who makes the OEM filters?

I can't for the life of me remember who makes the OEM spin on filters. Anyone know? It's not a life or death situation, I just read it somewhere and now can't remember, which is driving me crazy. Or rather crazier, considering how long I've been driving Land Rovers. :p

    Turbo

Definitely don't want to be running it like that. It would suck (no pun intended) to have the engine ingest a vane broken off the impeller.

    Trailer made from 88" tub

I made mine from the rear 1/2 of an 88 that included the chassis. I expect it's still in Vermont somewhere as I had to sell it when I moved.
