Been towing this little friend today for my mothers uncle(the guy behind the lift). 1990kg, no problems at all until i was gonna reverse it up a little hill/driveway. The trailer started to brake. Regret i didnt take pictures of the gravel driveway. I had to push it with the trailer wheels...

The L series Bosch EDC ECM/ECU does have a custom protocol that the ELM cant read. Its based on a rolling code algoritm that i read about in a Bosch ESI[tronic] white paper sometime ago.

You can use a trigger when the ignition is beeing turned off or even better when the alarm/ultrasonic sensor are on to lock the windows. Lets say the trigger power the "up buttons" for about 10 seconds everytime you lock the car. Its a easy circuit to make using a 555 timer IC or a PIC/Arduino...

I use that function everytime i got some grocery bags to load. Very useful indeed. I got the facelift door cards/window lift panels in my 99 L series and i wired them to permanent +12V just for the reason that i always forget to close the windows before turning the ignition off.

Fitted 03 steering wheel with audio controls to my 99 L-series. Only issue is horn switch is between pin 6 & 4(marked on connector) on the 99. On the 03 horn switch is between pin 4 & 3. Used a short piano wire to rearrange the pins. The audio controls are now fitted to pin 5 & 3 and 1 & 2 on...

New flip key off ebay. The blank key that came with it wasnt usable for the early FL. So i had to cut out the shape from a copy i made of my original. Looks and feel a lot nicer then the original two button fob.
