Mine wont rev above 3000 until it is warmed up, I think there is something in the EMU to prevent damage to a cold engine.

Yes its an Ifor W 505,and the trailer guy reckons its about 20 years old!!! He also reckons it's worth keeping it going as the new ones only last about 5 years as they are not as well made. Either way, once the floor is done it will serve equally as well as a new one and we will be in for £2200...

I paid £3000 for an X reg TD5 with 140k miles then another £1600 getting it decent!!! I actually like the very low spec, no sun roofs to leak, no aircon to go wrong no air suspension or ACE. Perversely I think thebasic spec ones may be more sought after!!! But also the market is very poor...

I left the electrical connectors on and it seems fine, I have seen instructions that say leave them off however, so will wait with you to see if we can get an experts comment!

Could be a fuse, could be a broken wire, could be a corroded terminal, could be the switch, or could be a knackered motor, and I guess there could be other issues!!! Really Andy do a bit of the work and try and post up symptoms so we can actually provide constructive help........cant advise...
