Aye.... I've seen some dead batteries in my time, but think 4 volts is a record.

Got the P38 back on my driveway, after being parked up elsewhere for well over a year. (Edit: it's a 1999 2.5 DSE) Currently showing Gearbox Fault on the dash, and no drive in any gear. I don't have diagnostics to hand, so will be looking at the obvious contenders first before considering a...

I have a couple from the upper end of the Clarke range from Machine mart and happy with them a couple of years in. Bloody heavy and definitely can't bend with your fingers!

Used them for the first time this week, and happy with the service. New radiator received within 48 hours of ordering. Have you tried picking up the phone to speak to them? Edit: also worth noting it's half-term, so lots of places short-staffed last week.

Radiator out at last... Viscous fan was a little stubborn, but after knocking up a home-brew set of LRT-12-093 and LRT-12-094 came straight off.

Thanks all. I hadn't thought of keeping the 712N and putting the 13 pin plug alongside. That seems a fairly sensible approach, and wiring in the reverse light shouldn't be too much of a hassle. Job for one of the weekends fairly soon, I think.

So I've ordered myself a shiny new trailer. Given that I've got 13 pin electrics on my Amarok, I was planning to change the connector on my P38 to a new Euro plug to avoid messing around with adaptors. I only have 12-N plug on Range Rover currently. I know I can swap this for a 13 pin, and will...

I saw a video once saying that if you want to see what the finish will be like, wipe a wet cloth across the primer (after it's dried, obviously). Decent advice, even if it was from a channel called "Hack and Pack Shop" :) Whatever imperfections you have with the primer will be there regardless...

Personally I didn't find it too difficult to drop the tank when I did mine, but I do like your custom pump ring tool.

Well that was fun. Not helped by the fact someone had clearly changed the o-rings in the past (access hole already cut out for screwdriver), but they'd cross-threaded the screw in to the clamping block. After replacing the screw and chasing the threads out, life got much easier. Next problem -...

Yep, see what you mean.... Got the new o rings on (old ones were like bakelite), but getting the pipes located and the screw tightened up again is proving a bit of a challenge on my own. Time for a cuppa while I ponder picking on a random neighbour to assist.
