    Am I being fobbed off?

I would say yes, get them to sort it out. It might only be an eggcup of oil a month, but you have only got 2ltrs of oil in there in the first place, which would mean you would have to get under and top it up every couple of months. It also means if you were to go through any deep water, you...

    My First Insurance

Just taken out my first policy. £674 3rd party F/T on a disco 300tdi, no 'no claims bonus' and only in my second year of driving, don't think that's too bad considering it was in the region of £1800 last year

As I have owned my Disco for 48 hours thought I would take it apart! :)

It's in better nick than mine was, but then I got an 'eBay bargain', mind you the only welding mine needed was the boot floor, the rest has been simple mechanics, of which most I've been able to do myself. Only other thing I would add to your shopping list, seeing as you're going to off-road...

HELLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP the bloody thing has broken yet again

What do you mean you 'can't get them out' mine were stuck fast and I managed to do it and I'm a girl and 5 months pregnant:eek::D What I found best, was to screw a bolt with some nuts on into the return line hole, then use it as a levering point. Be very careful to lever straight at 90 degrees...

HELLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP the bloody thing has broken yet again

I was having a major white smoke issue and pretty no power at all, changed the injectors and the problem went away. Though I am running mine on a bit a home brew mix. My advise would be to pick up a set of second hand injectors, soak them in some redex for a few days, then change each injector...

    Organised green laning

Keep an eye on the Greenlaning and Off Roading sections on here, people are always organizing trips out up and down the country. I have heard of companies that do organized trips out (don't know the names though), but they tend to charge a lot of money for something that can generally be done...

Just bought one and erm well I have problems.....

As MPfive said, check the UJ's on the prop shafts, I had a strange squeaking noise, which I thought was a belt or bearing, untill the front prop sheared off on my way home from work, it's a good job I was slowing down for a junction, as I saw the damage it did to the underside at just a couple...

Jack won't fit in Galvanised Chassis

I've got the original bottle jack that fits behind the head light under the bonnet, so much more convenient than lugging around a trolly jack

What have you done to your Landie today.

Over the course of the last 4 days, I've changed the starter motor, alternator, fan belt, all four fuel injectors and just finished changing the handbrake cable. Nothing is ever simple, is it? I've had seized nuts, spinning nuts, lost nuts, wrong parts sent, dodgy wiring, seized brake shoes...
