Anyway as i have owned it for 48 hours i thought the best thing to do was take it apart!

Underneath is actually pretty good only really needs two body mount area's sorted and a patch on the chassis

I decided to strip the interior out to see what i was dealing with and didnt think it was to bad bar some shocking welding in the boot!

Anyway thats my base to start with my plans are
  • 2" inch springs and shocks
  • 285/75/16 insa special track or recip 3D
  • new boot floor
  • box seaction seals
  • front disc's and pads
  • diff and steering guards
  • maybe winch bumper and winch
  • and repair the rusty bits.

How does that sound to the experts? Should I have a decent discovery for green laning, pay and plays and anything eles that takes my fancy!

Anyway ill do some more photo's once i get my teeth into it!

Good. Seems to have the standard issues. A good tidy job with box section for the sills works well.

It's in better nick than mine was, but then I got an 'eBay bargain', mind you the only welding mine needed was the boot floor, the rest has been simple mechanics, of which most I've been able to do myself.

Only other thing I would add to your shopping list, seeing as you're going to off-road it, would be some cheap modular wheels and then sell the alloys, they're nice and tidy and could fetch a decent price and you'll only ruin them when you go playing:D

looks like you have a reasonable bargain but better still you have some sensible facilities where you can work on it in peace!
You'll have hours of fun tinkering that's for sure :)

thanks guys

Well i have been struggling with getting the tank out this morning and picked up a boot floor from foundry 4x4 as there local ish to me! Ill be having a bit of lunch then getting the angle grinder out!!!
