    European trip disco

why would there be duct tape on the roof? unless the sunroofs are leaking, i'd have a good look under all the carpets, you may find some nasty surprises . And, yeah, that fuel filter has seen better days.

Ah you mean the sediment trap, I bypassed mine then removed it. Where are you, lloyd123? I might have a spare lift pump in the shed I changed mine when I was having fueling problems, turned out to be crud in the fuel line, but as i'd already changed the pump, I couldn't be bothered to change...

horn beeps twice when locking doors

ours does it too, but we know that one of the bonnet locks is faulty, but occasionally we get the ignition key in fault come up and it won't let us lock on the button, we have to lock on the key. Though I've found that if I put the key back in, turn to ignition on, wiggle the steering wheel a...

    Asda veg oil

We only use waste oil, as we have a reasonably good supply at the mo. We're currently having the same problem with the FIP on his P38, it was on the way when he got it and has since added another 50/60k onto it, I don't think the veg oil isn't the sole reason for it degrading, but I don't think...

    Asda veg oil

There isn't an 'in-tank' lift pump like on the P 38's, 300tdi has a mechanical lift pump on the side of the engine. By the way, Johnny, do you use fresh veg oil or used? And didn't you just have to change the seals and rebuild your FIP?

That doesn't stop them putting obstructions at the beginning of lanes

Off roading legally or illegally, views and experiences in national parks

Oh yes, just remembered. When we were in Wales in January, some guy had put a 'Road Closed Ahead' sign at the top of his road, he admitted to putting it there himself, and then got really ****ty with us for going down there to access the lane

Off roading legally or illegally, views and experiences in national parks

Once had a mad old lady chase a groupe of us down a lane with a pitch fork, and yes the lane was, and still is, a legal byway and we had every right to be driving down there

    Asda veg oil

That is 2500ltrs per vehicle owner, so with 2 of us (me and Gordan) we can get up to 5000ltrs a year, with only one car running over the winter months as well. As to regards to admitting how much you use, a couple of the places we get our oil from are restaurants, and they require receipts of...
