We only use waste oil, as we have a reasonably good supply at the mo. We're currently having the same problem with the FIP on his P38, it was on the way when he got it and has since added another 50/60k onto it, I don't think the veg oil isn't the sole reason for it degrading, but I don't think...

There isn't an 'in-tank' lift pump like on the P 38's, 300tdi has a mechanical lift pump on the side of the engine. By the way, Johnny, do you use fresh veg oil or used? And didn't you just have to change the seals and rebuild your FIP?
