used a 6mm diamond core drill to remove the bearings on mine ! its the same type of drill used to drill ceramic tiles and glass ! i'll take a pic of it tomorrow if I get chance they can be bought from b&q or a good tile stockists ! used a cordless drill on slow and don't let the bit get too warm...

change the block n bleed ! simples ! didn't have to plug mine into a reader just remember to bleed in the right order ! just two 10mm nuts to undo at the base of the block . the brake pipes and the wiring connections to undo !

sounds like you have a blockage somewhere or the seals on the valve are shot ! better off changing the abs block ! couldn't get mine to reseal !!!

I think there shuttle valve covers ! had one of these blow out on mine ! brake fluid all over the place

as yours has the abs sensor secured by a bolt it is the later type with no abs ring ! has it had a new wheel bearing as theres two types of them as well !

did you fit like for like ? theres two different drive shafts for the freelander one with a abs ring on the cv joint and one with a magnet fitted in the bearing I believe , if you fitted one without the abs ring it will bring the 3 amigos on and vice versa !

afaik the l series water pump isn't run from the timing belt ! its run from the aux drive belt !!
