    Good quality crimp connectors

I know what the OP means, it seems to be a bit of a lottery. The last lot I bought were rubbish and it wasn't down to the crimp tool (ratchet type) because it worked fine with the ones I scrounged to finish the job. Unfortunately my mate can't remember where he bought them.

    disco arch strip

I think I posted somewhere else, the frist rear took me about an hour to do because I was worried about cutting too much off and ended up doing it three times. The second one took twenty minutes :)

    disco arch strip

It was awkward compared to the front because you have to cut (I used a slitting disc on an angle grinder) through the double skinned part of the door. I haven't done the rears on this one yet but I did my old Disco. It didn't look pretty until the arches went on I must admit :) I'll grab a photo...

Yes, sorry I should have said that :)

    disco arch strip

I've just used this SATIN BLACK Car EDGE TRIM SEAL - Interior & Exterior - PVC Van Boat Truck# | eBay it's better than the stuff that came with my Flatdog arches, it's actually sticky inside to follows the contours better. I ordered 5m but ran out on the last rear so I've had to order a bit...

    Disco 1 and Rangie alloys

They're in my workshop near Harlow but I live in Waltham Abbey so either :)

    Disco 1 and Rangie alloys

The disco alloys are half tidy all with legal tyres. The Rangie wheels aren't in such good nick, especially one and the tyres are sh*t although probably mostly legal. Disco wheels £30 each or all five for £120 Rangie wheels £20 each or all five for £80

Extended warranties covering the ird and vcu units

So it's already broken and you want to take a out a warranty and claim? I think that's called fraud.

Help required on valuing a purchase

Just rest assured that whatever you buy someone will say "I could have got that for for half the money". They'll keep saying this until you tell them you want another for the wife/dog/garden or whatever when they will go strangely silent :)

Chassis shrunk in the rain (by one foot!!)

Is that a 'Freelander' trailer? Get it when and the lights fall off?

    LR3 TDV6 overheat and now won't start

I don't know where it is on that model but to check if that's the problem try putting a jump lead from battery earth to a solid part of the engine and trying it. If it works ok you know it is an earth fault.

    LR3 TDV6 overheat and now won't start

Check the engine earth. If the temp gauge goes up as you turn the key it is probably earthing through that.

Chinese Land wind X7 - Range Rover Evoque Clone

Seeing as how most of their stuff breaks really easily I somehow doubt they could.
