thats exactly how i did mine. just used dinitrol instead, but ive heard great things about dynax. I reckon either are better than waxoyl. i used my local landy garage outside lift and steam cleaner. beer money was exchanged.

or just use dinitrol which is far superior to waxoyl in the first place. id get your wire brush and steam cleaner out before you do it. one for when its a bit warmer id say!

i converted my van to a soft top last year and the cappings had the 3 holes down either side. You cant actually fit the hoops without the holes as they sit inside, and around the holes.

That feeling of sure footedness is exactly how mine felt following putting the atb in. Mines having a front one and another in the xfer box this year.

no probs. other option is to fit different diff ratios (ring and pinion gears) front and rear instead of changing your gearbox. Obviously this will change both high and low ratios. Ashcroft do a variety of ratios for £195 an axle, and they are heavy duty etc. Also, stating the obvious :lol...

to find out what changing the transfer box ratio will do to your gearing just goto to the ashcroft website ratio calculator. Gives you all the options and tells you the RPM's at various MPH to see the difference. With a 1.41 xfer box 5th gear @ 70mph is 2742rpm (33" tyre/3.54diff) With a 1.22...

Having looked at the PIC again id agree. Normally the red pos wire labeled alternator normally goes to the starter battery. In the pictured setup no single load can discharge both batteries. Useful for fridges and stuff but not ideal for winching where the dual batteries give you more oomph and...

I can't picture how that works. The relay will only connect the batts together once the relay gets voltage from the alt. Once the batts are connected both batts will be charged (or discharged) equally as though its one larger battery, there is no first/second stuff going on. Obviously charging 1...

Looks normal to me apart from the connector on the right which isn't part of the dual batt setup. Basically earths are common. Positives are only connected via the relay when the voltage coming from the alt is above a threshold I.e its charging. I think that unknown connector is a bodged up...

Those numax wouldn't fit for me. Went for optimax blue tops which are combined starter/leisure. If your winching make sure the relay and wiring between the batts is up to the job. Avg winch can draw 500a at full load.

All new, but cheap end is about 500 quid. Mohair and better sticks and tailgate probably a grand. Allwheeltrim were really helpful

The other thing is that photo taken using a smartphone contain the lat/long of where it was taken. Just remember that I you share. Don't know if Facebook remove that from the jpeg.
