I have a 1989 90 TD and I have been toying with the idea of turning it into a soft top. Does anyone know the expected cost, suppliers or how to go about this? Is it possible to buy a complete kit?

You can try Exmoor trim or all wheeltrim, both have websites and costs.

Fun for the summer, not too bad in the winter, just not very secure at any time, LOL

Exmoor trim also had a few vids on their website which are helpful.

It is not a cheap option to do, but it is fun, LOL

All new, but cheap end is about 500 quid. Mohair and better sticks and tailgate probably a grand.

Allwheeltrim were really helpful

I don't have a soft top, but I spent most of the summer roof and door less was wicked fun! My dad has a soft top - and it's colder, but not that bad!
Security not an issue for me as I have a garage, and park in a secure carpark at work
