Try turning the wire speed down, also you only need enough gas to stop oxygen getting at the weld, so turn that down and save some money.

    Tdci over revving???

It will be the switch on the clutch hydraulics that has failed, when you press the clutch the signal from the switch tell the engine control module to drop the revs quicker than just lifting your foot of the gas.

    Range Rover - Porsche dilemma

I used to work at a Porsche and Land Rover dealer when the 968 was new and I must say that I thought they were excellent, I actually liked them better than 964's. Yes 964's were rapid and looked sexy but I thought the 968 was better handling and more fun to drive, especially the stripped out...

    TDCI Heated Front Windscreen Fault

I think it is the one nearest the front of the car, however if you remove the relay one of the connections in the plug should ground when the switch is pressed.

    TDCI Heated Front Windscreen Fault

The grey one is a timer relay and needs an engine running signal from the instrument cluster, this is used to activate the timer relay when the heated screen switch is pressed. this relay then picks the yellow heated screen relay. Check your fuses and then the power and grounds to the relays...

Time to overhaul the old girl.

I used a cheap gravity feed pcl gun, I didn't put any thinners in my paint and only applied two coats, 1 thin coat and one heavier coat, just enough to cover. I used Tekaloid synthetic paint from Tekaloid 318 (Formerly BG18) Single Pack Coach Enamel ALL COLOURS | Buy oil, lubricants, greases and...

Turned out nice. My apprenticeship was coachpainting and sign writing and we always hot sprayed trucks. Devilbis did heated spray gun pots and I would have a row of them on the go. We always got a better finish than if we added thiners. A pair of wings I just hotsprayed.

The bellhousing is an easy swop and if the bearing housing is spinning, I used to center dot the outside of the housing and then locktite them in. if you want to upgrade your box go for a 2a with the bigger layshaft bearings if you can find a 2a six pot bellhousing.

    Killajoules Series 80" upgrade project

I had the same issue on my 86" after competing at a P&D do, all I had to do was remove the box and clutch, give it all a good was out and refit all the same parts back plus a new grommet. It did loads of trials and comps after with no clutch probs.

Are you going to hot spray it in synthetic, I just did mine and it came out nice. I heated the paint on an old clothes iron in the vice and used a cheap PCL spray gun. It took 3 ltrs. I did put the etch primer and primer/undercoat on with a roller though.

2003 V6 Freelander runs very hot. Is this normal?

Thats good news then. The Variable intake system isn't normally noisy but is prone to fail at which point they start rattling. many people think their manifold is gone when it rattles. This isn't necessarily the case and the rattle could just be the vis motors. Pull off the rear motor and check...

A wire from the coil neg to the distributor ign amp negative. and also a wire from the coil neg to the PCM through a resistor. There should also be a noise suppressor on the coil pos.
