Went out and hunted down my first proper green lane. A very safe, non scratchy lane with a few large muddy puddles and a fairly damp/wet track. Good fun! The Mrs even enjoyed it!

    About the same really

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I’ve had at best the 40 minute commute along a twisty A road, day off tomorrow so will be out for a long drive to the hills to go cycling, but from what I did drive home there seemed to be less road noise from the tyre, a bit more low frequency hum which I expected, less of the harsh mid tones...

Nope, good amount of room still. Getting onto the drive requires a couple of full lock moves and no rubbing present

Close enough.. it’s usually impossible to drive at the speed limit on all my local drives anyway, and the motor way I always set the cruise to 65 on the account it’s shaped like a brick.

4 new tyres for me, upped the size to 265/60’s. Car looks a lot more ‘complete’ compared to the 255/55’s previously.

Tbh I’m pretty sure the car came out of the factory with the air bags perishing! In fairness I’m very pleased with the outcome, I daily the car and was expecting a lot more. All the above seems bits I can DIY with the odd bit of help here and there!

Well Big Phil the P38 went in for his MOT this morning.. after 3 passes on the trot with only the occasional minor he.. …passed again! But this time a few more minors, gives me a little winter project at least! (On top of all the other bits!) So: Front N/S & O/S anti roll bar ball joints Front...

    P38A Loud engine/fan when cold

Okay, thought it might be something along those lines. Once the car is through the MOT later this week, I’ll get it sorted!

    P38A Loud engine/fan when cold

Hopefully it won’t come to that. I’m known at work for fixing a bike puncture with a hammer, so brute force I’m pretty good at. I was going to ask why the cowling needed to be removed? Does it affect the air flow, or..?

    P38A Loud engine/fan when cold

Thanks for all the replies. Datatek has given me his guide to the mod which I’ll be using, seems like a very easy and simple mod to do!

    P38A Loud engine/fan when cold

So next question.. Any link to the mod.. and can it be used without fully working air con? I have a book symbol I’ve not gotten around to sorting yet and a leak somewhere

    P38A Loud engine/fan when cold

On the drive to work is screams going through the village but once I’m up the hill after a couple of minutes it’s back it’s quiet ways. I’ll take at the controller and see the state of it. Thanks!

    P38A Loud engine/fan when cold

Evening all, In the ever continuing journey with the P38 I’ve got another problem/issue/querk I’m stumped with. Engine is the 2.5D to help work out. When the engine is cold, it is unbelievably loud - almost like a beating has gone, but once the engine is warm, almost exactly as the needle...

    P38A Protecting my undercarriage..

Appreciate all the feedback everyone. I’ll do some more looking in to Dinitrol and Lanoguard. Either way I’m going to need to give certain a parts of the car a bit of a scrub before applying it!

    P38A Protecting my undercarriage..

Time to sound like a total beginner.. but could you give me a breakdown of what I’d need and a way to make the waxoyl hot without setting fire to everything?

Definitely smoother than what came off though 😂 car does feel less ‘rolly’ around some of the twistier bends on the run into work this morning. Top bolts for the rear shock were full of crap on mine to the point I needed to use a 19mm socket to remove. Front top bolts weren’t the easiest to...

    P38A Protecting my undercarriage..

Evening all, on Saturday I finally got around to get the car in the air and changed out all 4 shocks for some TerraFirma ones. While under there I did notice some corrosion and surface rust. Once the major corrosion is sorted and I’ve wire brushed off the surface rust, what’s the better options...
