Excuse my ignorance, but if you don’t ask you don’t learn, why doesn’t the inter cooler sat in front of the rad affect engine cooling. Thanks.

Noticed recently that my clutch pedal on my 1995 300tdi doesn’t return fully to start position. clutch working fine. Can get all gears and ratios. Just not fully returning. I can’t lift it back to full with my toe. Next press it does it again. any ideas?

Thanks that was my thoughts about de greasing it all as I would see fresh deposits. Was just surprised to see it on front of intercooler. I thinking of replacing all off the engine bay hoses anyway.

Hi been working through the jobs on my 300tdi 90 whilst I’ve had time on my hands. when I bought it it had a lot of oil on the front of the inter cooler (ie the side that faces the road) all around the power steering reservoir and down on the engine mounts. any ideas what could have caused...

So too tight? Or not tight enough. any barrels that are better than others.

Hi yes that’s what I was doing replacing the barrels. These are the issues after replacing the barrels

I know we all know the defender locks are rubbish. But just had a frustrating day trying to replace the door and rear door locks on my 95 300 tdi. passenger door is fine turn key and it locks and returns key to removal position turn again unlocks. rear door with lift up handle sometimes...

Hiya both my front seat rails are knackered. Various cracks and riveted bits that don’t look super safe. Some of it not weld able so looking for new rails either new new or decent second hand. I can find them for about £300 but any ideas on other places to try? Thanks. Defender 300tdi 1995

If one rear light was unplugged would it stop both working? Just wondering if one is faulty. is there a way to access the backs of the lamps?

They are bolt on bits leds so complete lamp not just bulb. Trouble is not 100 sure they worked last week. Just they did before

Recently been painting rear of my 1995 90. So removed the rear LEDs. I know when installed the brake lights were working. but plugging them back in today they were intermittent- sometimes lighting. Sometimes just flicking on as pressing and releasing pedal. it seemed depending on direction...
